Winter OperaSHOP

A week-long workshop on Baroque opera for young singers, this workshop will focus on some of the masterpieces of the repertoire, with emphasis on style, rhetoric, ornamentation, and interpretation. The conductor and artistic director of the CMC Ashiq Aziz will lead the workshop with special guests, culminating in a concert performance of selections from the works studied. This year’s repertoire will include Monteverdi Il Coronazione di Poppea, Purcell King Arthur, Handel Agrippina, and Rameau Nais. Information and details on the application process to follow.
